What is Spanish for Kids?
Spanish for Kids is a class designed to teach children a new language in a fun
and entertaining environment. The group is structured to encourage children to
play games and sing songs familiar to them, thereby enjoying and accelerating
the learning process.
Classes are conducted in Spanish by native teachers from Mexico, Spain, Costa
Rica and Honduras. Courses will focus on developing reading, writing, speaking
and listening skills.
Class meets for 50 minutes, once a week for seven
weeks.
Who are the Teachers?
Spanishbooster was developed by Myrna Perez and a group of
great and experienced teachers.
Mrs. Myrna I. Perez has a degree in Business Communications and a
specialty in teaching languages. She is Director of Spanishbooster with
8 years of experience teaching in schools and corporations.
Mrs. Mariella Capmany is from Costa Rica. She is
an experienced Preschool and Spanish language teacher. At the present
time, she is teaching Spanish in a Private school.
Mrs. Luisa Felguroso has taught Spanish in Spain prior to moving
to the U.S. in 1993. She has a B.A. in Engineering from NY. At the
present time she volunteers at MECC.
Mrs. Floria Contessa is from Honduras. She is
dedicated to tutoring children and adults, Currently she works in
private and commercial language Schools.

How are groups
classified?

Peques (age 4)
This class is your childs first introduction to Spanish. The
program emphasis is on games, songs, rhymes and easy vocabulary.

Chicos (ages 5 - 6)
This class is a fun way to introduce your child to the fundamentals
of Spanish with emphasis on social development, rhythm of the
language, vocabulary awareness and pronunciation.

Juniors (ages 6 - 8) This class is a continuation of fundamental skills
development by emphasizing conversational, reading, and writing skills.

Grandes (ages 9-12)
This class is for beginners. Introduction to the fundamentals of
Spanish, vocabulary and games to boost their learning experience.

Expertos (ages 9-12)
For children who already can produce sentences and read and write in
Spanish.

Chavos (ages 13-17)
For teens who love the challenge of learning Spanish. Will be reading,
writing, listening and speaking Spanish.

Adultos (24- )
For adults with no experience with Spanish Masters(24- ) For adults with
experience with Spanish. Must be able to read and write sentences in simple
tenses.
How much does it cost?
Cost Per Session: Each program costs $95 per individual plus materials.
Terms and Conditions
All fees are nonrefundable and payment is due on the first class.
There will be a $20.00 service fee on ALL returned checks. There are only 2
make-ups per session. Spanishbooster for Kids will be closed for major holidays.
For Holidays that fall on your schedules class day, all students may schedule a
make-up class.
We follow the Mason City Schools closings guidelines related to weather and
emergency.
